Death Players

Death Players

Death Players Mod

This mod introduces an intelligent death storage system that takes into account how long a player survived. If a character lived long enough, a special container with their gear is created upon death. If the player died too quickly (e.g., during respawn or an unlucky start), their body simply disappears after a few seconds, preventing unnecessary clutter in the world.

? Key Features

⚙️ Customizable via Config

  • ContainerClassName – Class name of the container object (default: SRS_CrateForDead).
  • ContainerLifetime – Container lifespan in seconds (default: 100).
  • CorpseDeleteDelay – Delay before corpse removal (default: 5 seconds).
  • DropItemsNearIfNoSpace – If the container is full, items drop nearby (default: true).
  • DropOnlyPlayer – Only affects players, not NPCs (default: true).
  • MinLifetimeForContainer – Minimum lifetime (in seconds) required for container creation (default: 60).

? How It Works

If the player lived longer than MinLifetimeForContainer:

  • A container with their gear is created.
  • Items from hands and inventory are transferred to the container.
  • If there's no space, items drop nearby (if enabled in settings).
  • The body disappears after the set delay.

If the player died too quickly (under MinLifetimeForContainer):

  • The body is simply removed after CorpseDeleteDelay seconds.
  • No container is created (prevents spam from frequent deaths).

? Why Use This Mod?

  • Cleaner Server – Prevents container buildup near spawn points.
  • Better Balance – Players who die immediately don’t leave loot behind.
  • Realism – If a character dies too fast, it makes sense they wouldn’t have valuable gear.
  • Flexibility – All settings are configurable to suit your server’s needs.
